Welcome to Card Gurus. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to the website at thecardgurus.com and to visiting our shop at 2401 W Pecan St, Ste 102, Pflugerville, Texas. By using the site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
About this website
This site exists to tell you about the shop — what we carry, when we are open, what events are coming up and how to reach us. We try to keep everything accurate and current, but hours, inventory, pricing, events and booth availability can change without notice. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell a specific item, and a card being mentioned here does not mean it is in stock. If you are making a special trip, please call ahead at (512) 394-5031.
Purchases, sales and trades
All transactions happen in person at the shop unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- All sales are final. No refunds and no exchanges. Please inspect anything you are buying before you complete the purchase, and ask us questions — we are happy to answer them.
- Prices are set in store and may differ from any figure mentioned online or quoted earlier.
- When we buy or trade for a collection, any value we discuss before seeing the items is an estimate only. We may decline any purchase, sale or trade for any lawful reason.
- By selling or trading items to us, you confirm that you own them or are authorized to sell them, that they are authentic to the best of your knowledge, and that they are not stolen. We may ask for photo identification.
- Graded cards carry the grade assigned by the grading company, not by us. Ungraded cards are sold as-is, and condition is a matter of judgment.
- Anyone under 18 should have a parent or guardian involved in a purchase, sale or trade.
Small business booths
Independent small businesses rent booth space in the back of our shop. They set their own hours, prices, inventory and policies, and they are responsible for their own transactions and their own compliance with the law. Card Gurus is not a party to a sale made by an independent small business and is not responsible for items bought from one. If you have an issue with a purchase from one of these businesses, please speak with that business.
Game tables and events
Our tables are open whenever we are, and everyone is welcome. To keep it that way we ask that you treat other players, our staff and the space with respect. Harassment, cheating, theft, intoxication and disruptive behavior are not tolerated, and we may ask anyone to leave and may refuse service at our discretion. Event formats, entry fees, prize support and schedules can change, and tournaments run by an organized play program are also subject to that program’s rules. You take part in games and events at your own risk, and you are responsible for your own cards, decks and belongings — we cannot be responsible for lost, damaged or stolen personal property.
Using the site
Please use the site and our contact form for genuine inquiries. Do not use them to send spam, unlawful, threatening or abusive material, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, to scrape or copy the site at scale, or to interfere with how the site works. Anything you send us through the site should be information you have the right to share.
Intellectual property
The Card Gurus name, logo, text, photographs and design on this site belong to Card Gurus or are used with permission, and may not be copied or reused without our written consent. Product names, game titles and brand marks such as Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering and the various sports leagues and publishers are the trademarks of their respective owners. We are an independent retailer and are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them.
Use of AI tools
We may use artificial intelligence tools where they are helpful, including to generate some images and illustrations (such as the card artwork in the pack opener) and to help write, design, and build parts of this website. Photos of our shop, our team, and our events are real unless we say otherwise. We review this content before it goes on the site, but it may still contain mistakes. If something looks wrong, please let us know.
Third-party links
Our site links to other services, including social media platforms, mapping and review sites, and the Instagram pages, eBay stores, and websites of the independent small businesses that rent booth space in our shop. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their terms or their privacy practices.

The website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute relating to the site or these Terms will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will tell you when they last changed, and continuing to use the site afterward means you accept the update. Our in-store policies are posted in the shop and may be updated at any time.
