OUR STORY
Built by collectors who missed their local card shop
Founded by passionate collectors Justin Johnson and Blake Perkins, The Card Gurus was built on a shared love for the hobby and a desire to create a welcoming space where people of all ages can connect through the things they love. Blake and Justin wanted to recreate the 'local card shop' experience they both highly valued from childhood.
Whether you're searching for the newest sports cards, Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, comics, collectibles, or memorabilia, our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels at home. From seasoned collectors to families just discovering the hobby, we believe there's something here for everyone.
We buy, sell, and trade a wide variety of collectibles while hosting events, tournaments, trade nights, and community gatherings that bring people together through a shared passion for the hobby.
Whether you're chasing your next grail card, building a deck, or simply looking for a place to belong, we'd love to welcome you to The Card Gurus family.

“We checked out Card Gurus to find Pokemon cards for our kids and I can't say enough good things about our experience. Justin was so nice and welcoming, he immediately gave us a tour and introduced us to everyone. They had so many really kind people there. The kids were taken care of so well and they helped us find cards we'd been looking for. Especially as beginners, it gets so overwhelming and they took the time to really help us learn and understand card value and the different packs. They had some cool game tables, and such a good variety of game types. Justin said his favorite part of the shop was "watching adults have so much fun and find their inner child again", and I thought that was just the nicest sentiment. We will definitely be going back!!”

“I watched my 11 year old fall in love with the world of collecting sports cards tonight. The staff is extremely passionate about education and inspiring collectors in the next generation. The little touches like throwing in a few free cards was really cool. Blake one of the owners met my son and I with a handshake and awesome conversation on the way in and on the way out. The place took me back to my childhood…the collections in this place are so well maintained and easy to shop. The staff and vendors in the back were rockstars. Pflugerville let’s embrace this place! I can't wait to come back. Check out their trade days out - come and trade and sell cards this Saturday.”

“This is hands down my favorite card shop that I have ever been to. The owners Justin, Blake, and Molly are amazing. They not only treat you with respect and make you feel welcome, but their main goal is offering the best customer experience possible to anyone who comes through the door. Each staff member does the same, and all are a pleasure to interact with. They have amazing stock, great prices, and tailor to all sorts of trading card games, collectibles, and comics. Weekly commander nights are a blast, and their trade nights are superb. I can't praise this shop enough, nothing but positivity, good vibes, and a guaranteed great experience with each visit!”

“Simply amazing!!! We were treated like family from the moment we walked in they have the “Cheers” atmosphere. Their selection is phenomenal as well. Pokémon, Baseball, football, soccer and basketball memorabilia from vintage to present and more. With the vendors available it sets a one stop shop family environment. It’s like going to several spots in one building. They have tables available and hold shows as well. A MUST GO.”
